Advancing Global Health through Biotechnology

In this student—led activity, students will select one health application emerg—
ing from biotechnology and discuss the present ways in which this applica—
tion contributes to global health and the likely future ways in which it will
contribute to global health. Students will examine the barriers that need to
be addressed in order to make the benefits of this development available to
all. The following resources provide a range of examples of biotechnology’s
applications to global health.
