Learn that conflicts are composed of different elements and compo—
nents, that conflicts can have positive as well as negative outcomes,
and that these outcomes can determine whether a conflict is con—
structive or destructive.

Inspire students to understand that people can respond to conflicts
in different ways and that those responses can lead to the resolution
or escalation of some components of the conflict, to the creation of
new conflicts, or to no change in the original conflict

Act by translating or applying the framework to current conflicts as
they are described in a newspaper.
