jor bodies of freshwater and the major bodies of salt water, noting which
countries have access to each and which have access to neither. The students
may also create a graph that shows the ratio of freshwater to salt water on
the planet. They may make tables indicating the primary methods that in—
dividuals use to access freshwater around the world. The students may do a
brief investigation of where their freshwater comes from (e.g., a water table

or an aquifer) and of how it gets to them.
