Reimers et a]. they presented at the city hall on the rights of the child, organized a peace—site rededication and a peace—prize festival, and directed and per— formed a play about child labor that inspired the school board of the district to agree to not buy soccer balls made by child labor. The projects built on the students’ public speaking, interviewing, and photography skills and were based on discussions, reflection, and analyses. BUS IDLING AND AIR—QUALITY IMPACTS High school students in Vermont monitored the air quality outside of their school, and after finding high levels of pollutants, they identified idling vehicles (e.g., buses) as a source.
