Activity 6.5.4

Bonding and Bridging Capital at School

The students are instructed to think of a small project that they could each
undertake that would build social capital among the school community. For
example, a student could create a new club, pledge to invite a different student
to eat lunch with him or her each day, or try to get to know his or her class-
mates’ brothers and sisters. The students should write a series of journal entries
that describe this experience.
