Learn about the representation of rights and needs in the UDHR
and the SDGs and understand the centrality of SDG l and SDG 2
to the other SDGS.

Inspire students to reflect on the causes of poverty, its consequences
for different groups in society, and the stigmas associated with it;
to understand that it’s a dynamic concept that can affect anyone
disproportionately at a given point in time; and to undertake action
and contribute in the best possible way

Act in informed ways while trying to understand the issues associ—
ated with poverty and by treating poor people in respectful and
dignified ways without stigmatizing them.

and Knowledge

Students will increase awareness of the UDHR, of its value as a
normative framework in articulating the rights and freedoms of all
individuals, and of how it came into being.

Students will express thoughts and opinions regarding these human
rights, and understand and exhibit the behavioral competencies as—
