Overview Students examine the need of all people for respectful relationships. They examine the life of Muluken, who lives in India, and her description of her family. They revisit their friendship poems from the beginning of the year and think about what changes they would like to make to them. They also read and write poetry about their families. They also do an extended com— parison of different versions of “Cinderella.” Activity 1.4.1 Revisiting Muluken Students go back to Oxfam’s “Your World, My World” series of lessons and focus on the lesson on families. Activity 1.4.2 Revisiting Friendships Students revisit the section on friends in Oxfam’s “Your World, My World” and contrast their answers with what they said and thought at the beginning of the year.
