— Students learn about the different ways they can help their own
classroom become a place where they take responsibility for each
other’s well being and learning and help one another. With the
teacher’s help, they create a list of roles and take on tasks on a rotat—
ing basis.

— They then link with another kindergarten classroom in a different
part of the world and compare notes on the kinds of roles that stu~
dents play in the classroom.
