Past Dictator Frank Thurber and Dictator Frank Patterson are planning great activities _for the fall and winter season. Penn Yam, N. Y., Lodge, No. 949, which is located at the head of beautiful Lake Keuka, will be the Mecca for Moose of the southern part of the state on Saturday, August 21st, when it holds its first annual Field Day and celebration at the Fair Grounds. Columbia (Chickies Rock), Pa., Lodge, No. 307, initiated a class of forty-six on July 20th. All members and candidates assembled at the Moose Home and headed by a band paraded to Keystone Hall where the initiatory services were held. One hundred and twenty members and friends of Kenosha, Wis., Lodge, No. 286, made a trip by auto to MOOSEHEART. The party put up in the tents used during convention over night, returning the next day. Everybody had an interesting as well as pleasant tmie. Breese, 111., Lodge, No. 1464, has just closed its charter after securing one hundred and twenty members with a special circularization campaign. On July 18th this live little lodge held a picnic at which several delegations from neighboring lodges were present. Dansville, N. Y., Lodge, No. 1130, was instituted Thursday, July 8th, by District Supervisor P. G. Galvin, assisted by the officers of Corning, N. Y., Lodge, No. 274. The Dictator of the new lodge is a Moose in name as well as reality. His name is S. Erwin Moose. We look for great things from this lodge with such a leader. Atlanta, Ga., Lodge, No. 18, has started a series of monthly dances for its members and their friends. Uniontown, Pa., Lodge, No. 20, is making great progress in a campaign now being conducted. One hundred applications were acted upon at a meeting׳ held July 14th. West Toronto, Can., Lodge, No. 87, visited Orangeville on Dominion Day. One hundred and forty were in the party and made a splendid showing in the parade. Lancastei-, Ohio, Lodge, No. 299, is planning a big celebration on its tenth anniversary this Fall. A part of the program will be the burning of the mortgage on its. club house. During the summer months the Moose band of Fairmont, W. Va., Lodge, No. 9, will give regular Saturday evening concerts on the court house plaza. Portland, Ore., Lodge, No. 291, held its ־ annual picnic on July 18th at Crystal Lake Park. Many athletic contests were on the program, also an afternoon and evening band concert. Follansbee, W. Va., Lodge, No. 203, has contracted to hold a big carnival Aug. 21, 22 and 23. The proceeds from this affair will go toward the fund being raised to erect a West Virginia building at MOOSEHEART. Spokane, Wash., Lodge, No. 211, has purchased a piece of property on wheih it contemplates building a modern club house. An architect is now working on the plans for the new home of the lodge.
