The law, as it stands, seems to contemplate that the Board will make surveys, maps, etc., but it is obvious that no surveys of any value could be made with the standing appropriation after making proper allowances for operating expenses. Moreover, it occurs to me that any surveys to be made should more properly come under the jurisdiction of the Water Commissioner. Yours respectfully, (Signed) SIMS ELY, Secretary. Hon. Thomas E. Campbell, Capitol Building, City. Dear Sir: In the enclosed summary statement of disbursements by the Arizona Resources Board for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1920, and estimate of requirements for the biennial period beginning July 1, 1921, you will 'note that I have estimated our requirements for each of the two years of the said biennial period at $7,500.00. This is $2,500.00.00 less than the current appropriation, but I am confident it will be ample for all the practicable activities of the Resources Board — 52 —
