The two witnesses.
in heaven,and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings,* and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake,4* and great hail.
a	CHAP. XII.
xxND there appeared a great 7 wonder in heaven; a woman5 clothed with the sun,* and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2	And she beingwith child cried,travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
. 3 And there appeared another 7 wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon,” having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4	And his tail P drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5	And* she brought forth a man child, who“ was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6	And the woman tied into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there* a thousand two hundred«?*¿ threescore days.
7	And there was war in heaven: ■Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8	And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9	And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent,* called the Devil,® and Satan,® which deceived! the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10	And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Mow/ is come salvation, and strength,and the kingdom of our God, ami the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11	And they overcame* him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony ; and they loved not their lives* unto the death.
12	Therefore״‘ rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe” to the inhabited of the earth, and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, becausep he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13	And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14	And to the woman were given two wings* of a great eagle, that she might tiy into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished fora time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15	And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood,* after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the Hood.
16	And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17	And the dragon was wroth with the woman,® and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of .Jesus Christ.

and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2	But the court® which is without the temple /?leave out, and measure it dot; for® it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under* foot forty and two months.
3	And I will <3 give power unto my/ two witnesses,* and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.*
4	These are the two* olive-trees, and the two candlesticks״׳ standing before the God of the earth.
5	And if any man will hurt them,® fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devour-eth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.?
6	These׳■ have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy': and have power over waters* to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
7	And when they shall have finished their testimony', the beast״ that ascendeth outof the bottomless pit shall make’" war against them, and shall overcome them and kill them.
8	And their dead bodies shall lie in the street? of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom* and Egypt,“ where also our Lord was crucified.
9	And they of the people, and kindreds, and tongues, and nations, shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not sutfer their dead bodies to be put in graves.4*
10	And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
11	And after three days and an half the Spirit5 of life from God entered into them, and they' stood upon their reet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;* and their enemies* beheld them.
13	And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city® fell, and in the earthquake were slain Cof men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted,and gave? glory to the God of heaven.
14	The second׳- woe is past; and, behold, the third woe corneth quickly.
15	And the seventh® angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms“ of this world are become the kingdoms oiour Lord, and of his Christ; and he״ shall reign for ever and ever.
16	And the four and twenty'״ elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17	Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which? art, and wast,and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.*
18	And the nations were angry,“ and thy wrath is come, and the time* of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldestgive reward4* unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small® and great; and shouldest destroy them which »!destroy the earth.

Et signum magnum apparuit in ciclo; Mulier amicta sóle, et luna sub pedibus ejus, et in capite ejus corona stellarum duodecim :
2	Et in utero habens, clamabat partu-riens, et cruciabatur ut pariat.
3	Et visum est aliud signum in coelo: et ecce draco magnusrufus babens capita septem, et cornua decern ; et in capitibus ejus diademata septem.

15	Et misit serpens ex ore suo post mulierem aquam tamquam flumen, ut eam faceret trahi a fiumine.
16	Et adjuvit terra mulierem, et ape-ruit terra os suum, et absorbuit Humen, quod misit draco de ore suo.
17	Et iratus est draco in mulierem: et abiit tacere praeliuin cum reliquis de semine ejus, qui custoiliuntmanilata Dei, et habent testimonium Jesu Christi.

Et vidi de mari bestiani ascendentem, habentem capita septem, et cornua de-
2	Atlium autem, quod est foris tem-plum, ejice foras, et ne metiaris illud : quoniam datum est Gentibus, et civita-tem sanctam calcabuntmensibus quadra-ginta duobus :
3	Et dabo duobus testibus meis, etpro-phetabunt diebus mille ducentis sexagin-ta, amicti saccis.
4	Hi sunt duce olivas, et duo candela-bra in conspectu Domini terrse stantes.
5	Et si quis voluerit eos nocere, igim exiet de ore eorum, et devorabit inimicos eorum : et si quis voluerit eos lsedere,sic oportet eum occidi.
6	Hi habent potestatem claudendi coe-lum, ne pluat diebusprophetiasipsorum: et potestatem habent super aquas conver-tendi eas insanguinem, et percutere ter-ram omni plaga quotiescumque voluerint.
7	Et cum finierint testimonium suum, bestia, quas ascendit de abysso, faciet adversum eos bellum, et vincet illos, et occidet eos.
8	Et corpora eorum jacebunt in plateis civitatis magnae, quae vocatur spirituali-ter Sodoma, et jEgyptus, ubi et dominus eorum crucitixus est.
9	Et videbunt de tribubus, et populis, et linguis. et Gentibus, corpora eorum per tres dies et dimidium: et corpora eorum non sinent poni in monumentis.
10	Et inhabitantes terram gaudebunt super illos, et jucundabuntur : et munera mittent invicem, quoniam hi duo pro-phetae cruciaverunt eos, qui habitabant super terram.
