BIBLIA POLYGLOTTA, Epistola I. ad Coeinthios, XVI. VERSIO ANGLICANA. Contributions for the poor, dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It® is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual* body. 45 And so it is ־written,«* The first man Adam was made a living soul; the* last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Ilowbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The* first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also״ bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that״ flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery: Wer shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment/ in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the״ trumpet shall sound, and the dead7״ shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal* must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death* is swallowed up in victory. 55 O«* death, where is thy sting? O /3 grave, where is thy victory ? 56 The/sting of death is sin; andff the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks‘ be to God, which giveth us the victory* through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren,* be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is uot in vain in the Lord. \t CIIAP. XVT. IN OW concerning the collection for the saints, asr I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 2 Upon the first* dap of the week let every one of you lay by him m store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 3 And when I come, whomsoever“ ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your fliberality unto Jerusalem. 4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me. 5 Now 1 will come unto you,"7 when I shall pass through Macedonia: fori do pass through Macedonia. 6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go. 7 For 1 will not see. you now by the vay; but I trust to tarry a while writh you, if the Lora permit. 8 But l will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost. 9 For a great door* and effectual is 1 CORINTH. XVI. Resurrection of the Saints. that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, it.so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be net raised, your faith* is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we/are of all men most miserable. . £0 But now iss Christ risen from the) dead, and become the first-fruits* of them; r cj, 413־ that sjept. . i jn:16.2.׳. 2 Ti. 3.12. ,g IPe. 1.3. /* Ac. 26.23. But when he saith, All things are put under him, it is mauifest that he Is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28 And when all thingsshall be subdued׳ unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him* that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. £9 Else what shall they do which® are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead ? 30 And why stand we in® jeopardy every hour ? 31 I protest by yyour rejoicing* which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I* die daily. 32 If 3 after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what ad-vantageth it me, if the dead rise not ? VERSIO HEBRAICA. XV. V. 16. AD С О It IN Til IOS Pit . 43 Seminatur m ignobilitate, surget in gloria : Seminatur in infirmitate, surget in virtute : 44 Seminatur corpus animale, sunret corpus spiritale. Se-nnnatur in corruptione surget in in-corruptione. 125 DT^rr ^N'2 M in’M c¡rrT '3 С'ГТТХЗ ¿33 ‘ CYYjrr '.mp; 147 DÍ4) : СХТЭГТ «)p; «7)7 !6 •ГГГГЭП Прт«7 : DpT«7 ГТГ^П !7 n’can Dxc’n щ : сз'г,«’згтд * Ьзгт !a nrä7 ? : CI« '2рЗ| СН2«П * 127 П7«Л 20 i r!'w;«17 ХГД * rrrari I2p n-Dlpr!
