This dwelling is known as Ye Olde House, and is massively built, with oak timbers, handsome polished oak floors, panellings, and doors ; whilst some of the apartments contain beautifully carved chimner! pieces, and the principal staircase, which is of oak, has carved balusters and handrail. The principal reception rooms and hall are well-lighted, and some of the windows are enriched with stained glass. Every accommodation and means of comfort is provided for a family, and the house in good repair and decorative order. Delightful old gardens of considerable area surround the structure, from which may be enjoyed charming views over the river Severn, extending to the Wrekin. It may be confidently asserted that no portion of the river Thames, from the source to the sea, is better known to artists, anglers, and boating men than that which is to be found between Maidenhead and Marlow. Nor can we recall a neighbourhood possessing a larger number of pleasant walks and drives than the former place. It is, therefore, quite likely that keen competition will be caused by Messrs. Lawrence and Sons’ sale at the mart, Token-house-yard, on the 12th instant, of the four attractive, well-built, and commodious residences known as Zetland, Somersham, Kim-bolton, and Wynford; situated in Hay-park and Moffat-street, Maidenhead. The houses have well-grown, secluded pleasure and productive kitchen gardens, with both private water and footway to the river, and are within ten minutes of two railway stations. Three of the houses have a rental of £200, and the fourth of £160. shire, which Messrs. William Bush and Sons will offer for sale at their sale rooms, Church-street, Sheffield, on June 13. The estate comprises about 197 acres (mainly grass), and in addition to the Hall (which is a comfortable and commodious residence), there are detached farm bailiff’s house and most extensive, substantial and well-arranged farm buildings and cattle yards, including accommodation for nearly 100 horses and beasts, spacious barns, chambers, sheds, stores, etc. The river Don, which adjoins the estate on the south side, affords capital trout fishing. Two important points in connection with the valuable property, known as Fisherton Mill, Salisbury, are its close proximity to two railway stations and the fact of its having been in the hands of the present owner and his late father for upwards of 50 years. The property, which will be sold by Messrs. Waters and Raw-lence at their rooms, Canal, Salisbury, on .June 8, consists of water corn and flour mills, in full work, fitted in the year 1891 with 2¿-sack roller plant, and wheat cleaning machinery, together with exclusive and extensive water and fishing rights over a considerable portion of the river Nadder. The sale will also include an attractive freehold family residence, with lawn, pleasure and kitchen gardens, various cottages, and freehold accommodation meadows at West Harnham.
