Flour denoted less depression, sfiipmente showing a tailing off. Grinding barley moved slowly at about steady rates, oats being steadily upheld, but maize dull and easy. Beans and peas nominal. ISLINGTON, April 10.—A fair supply of beasts was on offer at to-day’s market, and included112 ׳ Scottish and 131 Irish stores. The demand for both I prime and second qualities was of a slow charac-ter, and rates were generally 2d. per 81b. against the seller. Fat cows were also slow, there being a lack of demand from country buyers. Scotch quoted 4s. 6d.; Norfolks, 4s. 2d. to 4s. 4d.; fat cows, 3s. 6d. to 3s. 8d. per 81b. The sheep market was moderately supplied, and trade in consequence of the high prices demanded made quiet progress, a clearance, however, being anticipated. Prices of both wethers and ewes were 2d. per 81b. dearer. to 8-stone Down wethers, 5s. lOd. to 6s.; 9-stone ditto, 5s. 8d. to 5s. 10d.; 10-stone half-breds, 5s. 4d. to 5s. 6d.; 12-stone Lincolns, 4s. lOd. to 5s.; 10-stone Down ewes, 4s. 6d. to 4s. 8d.; ll-s׳tone half-bred ditto, 4s. 2d. to 4s. 4d. DEPTFORD, April 10.—Beast supplies to-day com-prised 2,180 head, 1,487 being from the United States, and 693 South America, which is a decrease of 181 on comparison with last Monday’s numbers. A fair demand prevailed, trade being steady at 3s. 8d. to 3s. lid., exceptionally 4s. for the former; ftnd 3s. 4d. to 3s. 7d. the latter. Sheep arrivals, which consisted׳ entirely of consignments from South America, amounted to 4,615, being 1,300 more than on Monday last, and with an important in-quiry, prices were firmer, viz., 3s. lOd. per 81b., offal given in.
