These are a source of endless trouble unless lined
with Ferodo fabrics. There is always a difficulty of
securing efficient working owing to the great heat
generated and the varying peripheral speeds.
These difficulties have been solved by the use of
Ferodo fabrics.

At a large colliery in Scotland where constant
trouble was experienced with V brakes, we fitted
Ferodo fabrics over four years ago, and they are
still working efficiently without further trouble.
