Renold Chains—the business and its origin.

Mr. Hans Renold, the founder, was born in Switzerland in 1852, was educated at
Zurich (Switzerland), and has been a naturalized Englishman for thirty-three years.
The remaining two directors are both British born.

The business was founded in Manchester in 1879, and became a Private Limited
Company in 1903. Now the staff numbers upwards of 1,400 British workers, is working
full time, and has been doing so since the war commenced.

14°/0 of our male employees have joined the colours. Re-engagement has been
assured to them and their dependants are being cared for by us.

Renold Chains have been fitted in big numbers to Government vehicles for use in the
war, and every patriot can use Renold chains with the comforting assurance that he is
getting the best that money can buy, as well as supporting a home industry in doing so.
