Mr. Hans Renold, the founder, was born in Switzerland in 1852, was educated at Zurich (Switzerland), and has been a naturalized Englishman for thirty-three years. The remaining two directors are both British born. The business was founded in Manchester in 1879, and became a Private Limited Company in 1903. Now the staff numbers upwards of 1,400 British workers, is working full time, and has been doing so since the war commenced. 14°/0 of our male employees have joined the colours. Re-engagement has been assured to them and their dependants are being cared for by us.
