equipped with the Patent Self-starter and
Self - stopper. This device renders the
Elevators for feeding stoker hoppers with
fuel automatic in operation. It can be
applied to any existing Elevator, and
among other advantages it may be men-
tioned that the Elevator cannot overfeed
the stoker hoppers ; return shoots to
the coal are rendered unnecessary ; when
the hoppers are full the Elevator stops
running, thereby greatly reducing wear
and tear ; the automatic action of the
Elevator enables close attendance to be
dispensed with ; the operation is silent,
smooth, and silky; the mechanism is
simple in design, strong in construction,
and the first cost is extremely low.
