Hy-Rib Some reasons why you should use Colliery Hy-Rib for Buildings. It’s all in the Rigid Rib. In the first place the nature of the ground demands a light type of building, otherwise there is considerable risk of collapse. The cost of the building, and the time required for its erection, are also important factors. This is especially the case at the moment owing to the high cost of labour and the scarcity of it. Build with Hy-Rib. Briefly, Hy-Rib is a unique form of Metal Lathing, made of best quality steel sheets. It has a special stiffening rib (see illustration). This lath takes plaster more readily than the usual lath and also greatly reduces waste of material. Its use for walls, partitions, floors and roofs, enables you to build quickly, easily and economically, and gives the maximum of strength with the minimum of constructional steel. Such a building puts less load on the ground than any other type of permanent building, consequently Hy-Rib construction is eminently suitable for colliery buildings and is in great demand in colliery districts. Our new handbook, “ Hy-Rib for Factories,” gives fuller particulars and also illustrates Hy-Rib in use. Please write for a copy, mentioning this journal.
