Sealed tenders, endorsed “ Tender for coal and coke,” and addressed to the Guardians, must be delivered at the-Guardians’ Offices, St. John’s-road, Upper Holloway, N., on or-before Wednesday, June 23, 1915. The tenders will be opened at a meeting of the Guardians to be held on Thursday, June 24, 1915at the undermentioned offices. The Guardians do not . bind themselves to accept the lowest or- any tender. No contract will be given to firms who do not ordinarily observe the recognised rates of wages and hours of. labour. . Corporation invite tenders for the gas coal required at the Gas Works during the year commencing July 1 next. Estimated quantity, -7,000 tons of through and through, and 3,000 tons of small coal, but subject-to the requirements from time to time of the Committee. The coal to be delivered into the Gas Works, situated at the Millands, Neath, in such weekly or monthly quantities as may be appointed by the manager.
