Speciality - GOAL SCREENING & CONVEYING. ft < i SECTION OF SCREENING PLANT AT BENTLEY COLLIERY, DONCASTER, HAULAGE GEARS. :: ARRON Company have one of the best equipped Engineering estab- lishments in the Country enabling them to test the efficiency of their Haulage Gears under working con- ditions. . They place their experience and manu- facturing resources at the disposal of the Coal Mining Trade generally. By Appointment Ironfounders to H.M. The King. Illustration shows No. 520B Haulage Gear which has afforded great satisfaction where installed. There are really two Haulages, worked by a motor, common to both, through spur gears. At any time, should it be desired, the Haulages may be separated, and each worked independently by a slight alteration, and of course a motor to drive each unit. The Haulages are worked by means of a highly efficient worm gear, absolutely silent in operation, the thrusts being taken both for wheel and worm, on Hoffman's Double Ball Thrusts. A Cone Brake is applied to the worm spindle, which comes into operation at the instant the clutch is disengaged. The clutches, which run in oil baths, are of the well-known coil clutch type. No woodwork is used in the construction of these Haulages. No. 27 E Haulage Gear Pamphlet sent post free on application. . . Q1RRON CoMP/INY eA^ONERIs!Gi DEiPT'’ CARRON, Stirlingshire. There are many valves with renewable valve and seat upon the market, but under modern conditions and high pressures do not last any length of time owing to the deterioration which takes place on the valve and seat, and consequently the renewing of the parts is a frequent occurrence. We have tried our “Platnam” Metal under severe conditions, and. have every confidence in recommending it to work under high temperatures. The “MAC” valve has been designed to adopt this metal for the renewable valve and seat. Upwards of 500 tons of Standard Steel Castings kept in stock.
