The Home Office enquiry, under the presidency of Lord Mersey, with regard to the regulations con- cerning rescue appliances in coalmines, which was adjourned from February 25 until March 25, has been further adjourned. No date has yet been fixed for the resumption. The Coal Conciliation Board of the Federated Districts of Great Britain on Friday last considered the South Yorkshire minimum wage trouble, and appointed a committee of 10 persons—five from each side—to consider the matter.
