An Explosives in Coal Mines Order [No. 359] has been issued by the Home Secretary, under section 61 of the Coal Mines Act, 1911, amending the Order of May 21, 1912, and taking effect as if the Schedule to the new Order were substituted for the First Schedule to the latter Order, provided that the explosives named and defined in the First Schedule to that Order are to be deemed to be included in the List of Permitted Explo- sives until December 31, 1913. The Order may be cited as “ The Explosives in Coal Mines Order of the 31st March, 1913.” The Schedule to the new Order contains particulars of the explosives which have passed the new test (Home Office memorandum of May 1912), as follows :— Ammonite No. 2 consists of the following mixture:— Parts by weight.
